Day-by-Day Itinerary
Arrival in Kigali & Transfer to Musanze
Our dedicated driver will be available at the airport to take you on a Kigali City Tour in the morning with a stopover at the Genocide Memorials. Immediately after lunch we proceed to Musanze Town, the gateway to Volcanoes National Park.
Mountain Gorilla Trekking
The gorilla trekking day begins with a drive to Volcanoes National Park headquarters for briefing. Pick-up is at 6:00 am and trekking begins at 8:00 am. One of many highlights is watching the calm gorillas conduct themselves graciously — feeding, resting, caring for their young. When trekking is concluded the driver takes you to the lodge to freshen up before departing to Rubavu in the afternoon.
Relaxation at Lake Kivu — Rubavu
Immediately after breakfast, the driver takes you to Rubavu Town on the shores of Lake Kivu. The journey is a memorable one through the volcanic highlands. Spend the day relaxing at the lake, taking boat rides, or exploring the Congo Nile trail starting point.
Transfer to Kigali — City Tour & Departure
Time flies when you're having fun. Day 4 brings us back to Kigali — one of the most perfect ambiences for vacation and a home of hospitality. Upon arriving you are at liberty to explore some locations for shopping and sightseeing before departing for the airport.
