Day-by-Day Itinerary
Kigali Pickup & Transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park
Your dedicated driver/guide will be waiting at the airport. Based on arrival time, there may be opportunity to visit Kigali markets and craft sellers. Afterwards set out for Nyungwe Forest National Park.
Chimpanzee Trekking & Afternoon Canopy Walk
After breakfast proceed for the chimpanzee trekking — encountering different species of monkeys and birds. This is followed by the fascinating forest Canopy walk — Africa's only suspended forest walkway — allowing you a rich experience of the national park from above.
Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
Day 3 begins with an exciting drive to the spectacular Volcanoes National Park. The driver stops for photography opportunities and lunch. The day ends with overnight at Mountain Gorillas View Hotel.
First Gorilla Trekking
Gorilla trekking commences in the morning with an initial briefing at park headquarters. The tracking may take close to 8 hours depending on the pace and family location. Other activities follow in the afternoon.
Golden Monkey Tracking / Dian Fossey Hike & Transfer to Bwindi
After early morning breakfast, option to go for golden monkey tracking or the Dian Fossey hike at Karisoke Research Centre. Afterwards embark on the cross-border journey to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest in Uganda.
Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi National Park
Commence the day with breakfast and proceed on a journey to Bwindi National Park. The trip passes through different routes where you might see tree-climbing lions and other animals.
Transfer to Queen Elizabeth NP via Ishasha
After breakfast the driver takes all tourists to Queen Elizabeth NP via Ishasha to see the famous tree-climbing lions. Boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel — birds, crocodiles, buffaloes, and elephants. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge.
Game Drive & Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
Wake up early for a morning game drive to see lions, hyenas, leopards, and jackals before they retreat. Transfer to Kibale National Park for lunch. Dinner and overnight at Crater Safari Lodge.
Chimpanzee Tracking in Kibale Forest
After breakfast the driver takes everyone to park headquarters for ranger briefing and then to the chimpanzee trail. Return later in the day for lunch. Dinner and overnight at Crater Safari Lodge.
Departure from Entebbe
After breakfast the driver is available to convey you to Kampala and onward to Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight.
